Commander Joel D. Tiu died unexpectedly on October 12, 2012, while serving with the U. S. Navy in Bahrain. His is survived by his wife, Vida; son Joel; daughter Justine; three brothers: Jerome, Jennies, and Jun; and two sisters Jemelle and Jocelyn. Aside from the service information provided below, there is a visitation at Hollywood Forever Mortuary on Saturday, October 20, from 1:00 until 4:00pm.
