Marilyn Norman Lee was born on June 24, 1938 to Ella Mae (Tea) Hicks Norman and Augustine (Sam) Norman Jr. in Los Angeles, CA. She was baptized into the Episcopal Church. She was an only child who enjoyed the company of her many cousins who were like her sisters and brothers. Marilyn was presented for her cotillion with the March Club on March 22, 1956. She graduated from Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, CA. in June 1956, and went on to attend Los Angeles Business College. She married the love of her life, Clarence (Sonny) Edward Lee, in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 27, 1958. Sonny and Marilyn were blessed with two children: Cynthia Lynn Lee and Nona Marie Lee. She was also blessed with a son, Kenneth Patrick Lee, from Sonny’s first marriage. Marilyn worked in the entertainment industry and other areas of the law as a legal secretary for 35 years before joining her loving husband in retirement in 1997. Following her retirement, she and Sonny enjoyed many activities together including their involvement with Project Jordan, traveling, spending time with their children, grandchildren and other family members and friends. Marilyn enjoyed helping others and often opened her home to members of her extended family. She was a Temecula Valley resident for 31 years. During that time, she was fortunate to form new friendships and interests. Although she was baptized as an Episcopalian, she also enjoyed attending St. Catherine of Alexandria Church with her husband in later years and continued to do so after his death. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clarence (Sonny) Edward Lee (Boyd) and her parents Augustine Norman Jr, and Ella Mae Hicks Norman. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Patrick Lee and Gale Lee of Bingham Farms, MI; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Lee Woodruff and Terry Don Woodruff of Temecula, CA; daughter and fiancé, Nona Marie Lee and Andrea Martinez of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren Kenneth Harris, Kira Lee, Mara-Lee Greiner, Dustin Woodruff, Myra Lee, Patrick Greiner and granddaughter-in-law Jennifer Steimer, Kateri Greiner, Tara Woodruff; great-grandchildren Kenneth Stepney and Anjali Vick; cousins Barbara Jean Smith and Lafayette Smith, Wayne Denton and wife, Jeffery Denton and Lynn Denton, Guy Michel Frazier, Gail Burton Allen MD, Mary Hall, Charles Mazique; her ‘sis’ Elisia Jorge, and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and loving friends.
