Michele Ann Michel, 63, officially became an angel on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Michele entered this world as the daughter of Robert J. Caulfield and Shirley L. Caulfield in North Hills, Pennsylvania in April 1959. She is survived by her adoring husband, Dan Michel; her daughters, Ashley and Abby Michel; her brothers, Robert Caulfield Jr. (Janet) and David Caulfield (Kim); her mother, Shirley Caulfield; her mother-in-law, Margaret (Grammy) Michel; 8 nieces and nephews (Vanessa, Amy, David, Jeff, Bobby, Crystal, Brittany, and Michael); and her chosen family, Patricia Higgins and Madeline Acosta. Michele was preceded in death by her dad, Robert J. Caulfield Sr., and her sweet sister, Mary Beth Caulfield.

Michele founded and owned for 24 years, Something Sweet, a successful confectionery in Antioch, Illinois which won Best Candy Store in Chicago. She was an advocate of our military and sent hundreds of pounds of fudge to those serving overseas. She poured her heart into her customer’s experience and lives, and lived by example exuding values of kindness, justice, and forgiveness. As a follower of Jesus, Michele often prayed with her customers in the shop when the need arose. Michele was known for having the ability to meet a stranger and leave the conversation as dear friends.
