Pamela Hart

May 13, 1941 ~ April 11, 2012
Pam was born May 13, 1941 in Ocheyedan, Iowa to Merle Daniel Sexton and Juanita Faye Bloom (Sexton). She was the oldest of five children and took the role of first born very seriously. Merle was from Iowa and Juanita was from Minnesota. Merle was in the Army and Pam and her mother lived with her maternal grandparents, William and Mildred Bloom in Worthington, Minnesota. In the next 6 years two sisters and two brothers joined the family. One sister (Merrilen) and one brother (Daniel) predeceased her. The Sexton family made several trips from Minnesota to Southern California before deciding to make the West Coast their home. Her grandparents moved to California and also made it their home. Eventually they settled in Norwalk where Pam would meet her husband Marvin. This would be a union that would see over 50 years of marriage. Pam would give birth to five children- the first born, a set of twins (Larry and Gary) that passed in infancy, a son David, and daughters Denise and Paula. They bought a lovely home in La Palma, California and lived there for 30 years and raised their children. They worked hard and made a very good life. They bought a motor home and used it at every opportunity. They went to Minnesota, (Pam's hometown) and Texas (where Marvin was born) several times. They camped, fished, and enjoyed desert off roading for many years (the children and grandchildren continued off roading to this day). They also were able to take a cruise and enjoyed a trip to Hawaii. Pam retired from McDonnell Douglas and Marvin retired from Kraft. They worked hard and made a wonderful life for themselves and their children and five grandchildren. They retired to Murrieta, California in July of 2001. Pam always stayed busy. She took care of her mother until she passed at the age of 90. Things Pam Loved: Her grandchildren, Holidays (especially Christmas), Classical Music (Andrea Bocelli), Gardening, Bargain Shopping, Camping, Fishing, Off Roading, Her 1985 El Camino, Trivia, Cowboy Boots & Indians (anything from the old west), Tortoises, The Pool (with grandchildren) and The Outdoors. Pam is survived by her loved ones: Husband Marvin; Children, David(Roberta) Hart, Denise(John) Cook, Paula(Craig) Wells; Grandchildren, Jason(Shilo) Hart, Elizabeth(Joshua) Shannon, Rebecca Cook, Joshua Wells & Jayden Wells; Brother Steven(Martha) Sexton, Sister Valarie(Jim) Powel and Many Nephew & Nieces. Pam was looking forward to her first great-grandson who will be born in August 2012. She loved many and will be missed by those who loved her in return.
