Paul Aghadjanian

paul aghadjanian

Paul Aghadjanian, a Christmas baby and a man with a heart bigger than life itself, passed away on July 9, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom. Born overseas, Paul was immensely proud of his Armenian heritage. His journey through life brought him to the United States, where he spent the majority of his life while continuing to travel the world. Paul’s dream of living in California was fulfilled in 2021, and he cherished his homes in New Jersey and Florida before making his way to the Golden State.

Paul was a modern Armenian man, deeply proud of his family. He loved to talk about his travels and share his wisdom with everyone he met. Charismatic and always willing to help others, Paul worked tirelessly behind the scenes, lifting people up without seeking credit, his rewards coming in the form of smiles and love. For Paul, family always came first.

After dedicating over 36 years to Pan American Airlines, Paul remained in the airline industry, staying close to the skies and continuing to see the world. As a director of sales, he was the last person in the building when Pan American Airlines shut its doors for good, a testament to his dedication and pride in his career.

Paul’s love for his family was boundless. He was a proud father to his two daughters, Pauline Aghadjanian and Daniela Aghadjanian, both of whom earned their terminal degrees and became doctors. His grandsons, Greg Grigorian, Jake Grigorian, and Travis Jensen Aghadjanian Velez, were his world, and some of his proudest moments were spent watching them grow.

An avid soccer player and lifelong fan of the sport, Paul also had a deep appreciation for good food, music, and dancing. He loved to laugh and was known for his jokes and his ability to remember everyone’s name.

Paul’s greatest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life, Flora Aghadjanian, and celebrating 45 years of matrimonial bliss. His parting words were often “God Be With You,” reflecting his belief that God accompanied him every step of his journey. Though not overtly religious, Paul’s favorite poem, “Footprints In the Sand,” offered comfort and inspiration.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife Flora Aghadjanian, his daughters Pauline Aghadjanian (and her husband Hagop), Daniela Aghadjanian (and her husband Jonathan), his brother Joseph Aghadjanian, and his cherished grandsons Greg, Jake, and Travis. He is also survived by his extended family in Montreal, Los Angeles, and the greater United States. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at 10am at England Family Mortuary, Inc, located at 27135 Madison Ave, Temecula, CA 92590. A celebration of Paul’s life will follow at 1pm at The Cave Cafe in Oak Mountain Winery in Temecula, CA. His final resting place will be at the Murrieta Valley Cemetery, located at 42800 Ivy St, Murrieta, CA 92562.

Paul Aghadjanian’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and the joy of helping others. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

  3. There are some who bring a light so great to this world that even after they have gone the light remains. Paul was a caring mentor, a valued colleague, and a dear friend.
He maintained traditional values during times when the world around us was changing. He was a gentleman from “the old school” and always looked out for those around him.
I will never forget his infectious smile and that mischievous twinkle in his eyes. The years put distance between us, but we managed to stay in touch and I shall miss our random conversations.
My heart goes out to you, Flor, and to your entire family. Take comfort in knowing that Paul is now in the company of so many of our Pan Am Angel’s and will continue to watch over us!
    With much love,
    Janice

  4. Dad-
I cannot put into words how much I miss you. You were such a beacon of light to so many; the world is a little darker now though Heaven shines brighter.
We had so much unfinished things to do and words not uttered.
I know you are with me always but I yearn for one more word, one more cup of coffee, one more hug, one more day.
I know every bird you send is your way of reminding me you are able to soar now and that I should never give up.
We all miss you so much. I miss you. I love you. Always.
