Prudencia L. Bungay, 68, passed away on April 9, 2024. She was born on March 19, 1956 in Baguio City, Philippines. Prudencia immigrated to the United States in 1980, where she settled in San Diego, California then later moved to Murrieta, California.
She enjoyed spending her time with her seven sisters, traveling, going to the casino, and playing word games on her phone. She also played a big part in the lives of her nieces, nephews, and their children by helping care for, raise, and love them like her own. One of her many love languages was cooking food and she was well respected for her lumpia and adobo.
In addition to her parents, Roque and Magdalena, she is preceded in death by her siblings Renato

Bungay, and Editha Harvey. She is survived by her sons and their families; Sherman and April Simbulan; Virgil and Savannah Simbulan; and by her grandchildren Emmalyhn, David, Jacob, and Kai; and by her siblings, Alfredo, Lilian, Jaime, Carmencita, Nenita, Bernadette, Florida, Geronimo, and Teresa. Services will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Poway on April 18, 2024 at 11:30 AM with the interment shortly after at Dearborn Memorial Park, 14361 Tierra Bonita Rd., in Poway, CA.
