Dick was my Deputy on a Minuteman ICBM Crew in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1970/71. He was an outstanding crew member and an outstanding Air Force Officer, one of the finest I served with in my 27 year career. We recently reconnected via telephone and were able to swap a few old stories that brought back many memories. I know he will be greatly missed by those close to him. I am sure all who know Dick realize the good Lord picked a wonderful man to bring into his heavenly home. I salute him and will miss him.
From Canada to California, you are in our thoughts, in our prayers.
God bless you and rest peacefully my friend. Keith Greene
God gave Richard to Karen for a few precious years to be the kind, loving husband that He knew she needed. Karen gave Richard the tender love he needed to see him through his last battle. Then God took Richard home, and he is in the presence of the kind, loving Father that we all need, and can have through Jesus. May God comfort your family in your loss and bless your with fond memories of this GOOD man.
I always thought of Dick as a big brother, this started I suppose, because we hailed from the same area of the country and had similar background and experiences while growing up. Dick was a good mentor. I will miss his sense of humor and especially his direct approach; one always knew where Dick stood. To Karen and the rest of the Lamb family, our prayers are with you.
I worked together with Dick for a few years in Anaheim. He was and always will be a great memory from my stay in California. I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I’ll miss him and treasure my memories of him. God bless.
My condolences to Karen and the Lamb family. Dick was a great co-worker and a great friend. Thanks for your service and friendship. God bless and rest in peace, my friend.
My deepest sympathies to Karen and Dick’s co-workers at Boeing. I felt a great loss when I learned of his passing. Dick had everything to do with creating a close-knit, working team out of a disparate industry group. He was the kind of fun guy you often find in the training profession but he was unique. There was always laughing and storytelling around Dick . Almost all of my pictures of him are with a fork, a beer, and a big smile. I’ll remember him that way.
On behalf of VFW post 4089, I would like to express our heartfelt condolances to the family. Richard was a member of our family at the VFW and he will be missed by all.
