Robert Miller

Bob Miller passed away on April 1, 2012 in Hemet, California, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was one of the most generous, intelligent, and caring souls that ever graced this earth. Bob was an avid golfer, a skilled salt-water fisherman, a film historian, and the biggest NY Giants fan ever. He could answer every single question on Jeopardy, and single handedly beat everyone at any kind of trivia game. Bob was an excellent cook and a true foodie who also loved a great bottle of wine. However, he could also easily appreciate a glass of ‘2 Buck Chuck’ and a juicy burger fresh off the grill. He was the happiest when he was entertaining his family and friends and he was always the most gracious and attentive host. Bob started his career at Tension Envelope in 1960 in the shipping department, and became an integral part of the leadership team within his organization. He retired in 2009, after 49 years of service. Bob was an amazing leader who mentored and encouraged growth in all of his employees. He was a caring and compassionate leader who inspired people to reach their true potential – giving many a chance when no one else would. Bob met his wife Miriam at Tension Envelope in South Hackensack. After unsuccessfully asking her out on a number of dates, Miriam finally gave in and said yes. 1 year later, on June 22, 1968, they married and have been happily married for the past 44 years. They were the proud parents of 2 beautiful daughters Pamela and Melissa. They were blessed with their grandson Austin R. Jones in 2009 who quickly became the apple of his Pop Pop’s eye. Bob is survived by his loving wife Miriam, Hemet; son Gary, New Jersey; Pamela, Marina Del Rey; Melissa, San Diego; Grandson Austin, San Diego. The viewing will be held Monday April 9, 2012 5:00pm – 9:00pm and funeral services April 10, 2012 10:00am - both at England Family Mortuary 27135 Madison Avenue Temecula, CA 92590. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held immediately after internment at The Lodge at the Four Seasons from 1PM-4PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association Golden West Chapter, P.O. Box 565, Agoura Hills, CA 91736.
