On Friday, March 24, 2023, Robert “Bob”, Taylor passed away at home at the age of 76. Bob was born on February 2, 1947, in New Haven, CT to Frederick and Virginia (Williams) Taylor. Bob attended schools in the Woodmont, Milford CT area.  Bob entered the Air Force on June 25, 1964, and was honorably discharged on November 9, 1969 he served with the Air Police and Canine Unit based at Torrejon Air Base Madrid Spain and participated in the Broken Arrow Incident of Palomares Spain January 17, 1966. Bob went on to work in Security working his way up to management with Hughes Aircraft for 25 years.  Owned and Operated Taylor Investigative Services, Fountain Valley, CA.  Head of Security for Saddlebrook Development outside of Tucson, Arizona before returning to Huntington Beach in 1995 and pursued Real Estate. On February 14, 1990, he married Robin Jolene Richardson.  After owning a sailboat and becoming allergic to fish the dream of sailing around the world was kiboshed. They embarked on 2 cross country tours in their motorhome as well as the west coast.  He loved scuba diving, and his favorite diving spot was Catalina Island.  Bob was preceded in death by his father, Frederick, and his mother, Virginia and 4 brothers and one sister Frank, Fred, Ed, Evelyn Hudson and Jim Taylor. Dogs Diamond, Louis, Shady Lady(aka Leapin Lena), Jake and Buddy as well as Cats Trouble, Scaredy Cat, Brava, Rambo and Mittens.

He is survived by his wife Robin and the neighbor cat Tiger. his brothers Ron and Nancee Taylor, Tom and Heidi Taylor sister Katherine Taylor Darling, and several nieces, and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews and our Framily Tim and Andrea Ellis and Mark and Kathy Polley, his Mother-In-Law Betty Richardson, Sister in Law Cathy and Chuck Gleason, Brother in Law Steve and Pat Richardson. Special Nephew Sean F. Gleason and Misty Gleason who phoned Bob n Robin (Tweet Tweet to the tune of Rockin Robin) from Saddam’s Palace on May 15, 2003, 317th ENG BN something he held near and dear to his heart.  Great Niece Brittany Shea and Khris Lucas and great great nephew Zane Lucas, Great Nephew Nicholas Shea and Andrea Mercado and great great niece Amelia.  My nephews Dylan and Shane Richardson got to experience Catalina in 2019 with Bob, the place he loved! His picture is from that trip!

Graveside services will be April 20,2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Miramar National Cemetery.
