Russell Daniel Davis

russell davis
Russell Davis lived his brief life to the fullest. He had a great sense of adventure and was awe inspired by the beauty of nature and the majesty of life. He inspired those around him to enjoy the journey, to try new things, to take detours, and to never take life for granted. He enjoyed the finer things in life but also took great pleasure in the simplest of things as well. He is remembered for his easy smile, his infectious laugh, his warm and welcoming personality, and for his quick wit. Russell is preceded in death by his father Richard Davis and is survived by his mother Hye Davis, his stepfather Kevin Gault, his brother David Davis, his sister-in-law Kimberley Davis, his nephews David, Alexander and Anthony Davis, and his niece Briana Creguer. Russell had an amazing likeability that drew people to him. Thus it is no wonder that he also leaves behind a large secondary family comprised of friends that he has amassed over the years. In the audience today are close “family” members from his childhood, “family” members from Applebees, “family” members from L’Auberge, and “family” members from the Omni Hotel in San Diego and La Costa Resort and Spa. The family asks that you not mourn Russell’s loss. Instead we encourage you to go out and take part in some of the adventures he enjoyed so much such as motorcycle riding, riding his Polaris Razor, flying airplanes, shooting, kayaking, fishing, and skydiving. Think of him when you are cresting the top of the “Big Hill” or are grilling up some Bulgogi. In addition, we encourage you to enjoy the time you have with your loved ones. Please don’t take your life for granted. Finally - every life lost to the ravages of cancer is a life lost too soon. The family asks that in lieu of gifts or flowers, people make contributions to Lymphoma, Leukemia, or Cancer related charities so that further research and study can be undertaken to eradicate this terrible disease.
