Sadie Grayce Hylton Swoager went home to the Lord peacefully on the 7th of March 2022, in Temecula CA at the age of 97. She was born on December 12,1924 in New Castle PA, the 3rd of 6 children and only daughter of William Sherman Hylton and Roxie Joyce Graham Hylton. During WWII Grayce was employed by the Heinz Company, US Steel and as a welder at the Dravo ship yards. She is predeceased by her brothers and her loving husband of 61 years, Walter Charles Swoager. Grayce and Walt lived for many years in Castle Shannon, PA where Walter was employed by Philip's Auto Electric and they were both active in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. They moved to Florida in 1989, living first in Sebring and then in Port Charlotte. After Walt died in 2005, Grayce moved to Temecula, California. She became an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an avid bridge player for most of her life. She is survived by her son William (Becky) Swoager of Powell OH, daughter Joyce (Joe) Bernaert of Temecula CA, son Jay (Sue) Swoager of Washington PA, daughter Sheree Marion of Temecula CA, 6 grandsons, their spouses and 6 great grandchildren. Grayce lived a long, healthy and wonderful life. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Plans are being made for a Celebration of Life to be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Temecula, CA in late spring. Date and time to be determined.
