Stephen H. Baughman

stephen baughman
On Sunday evening, May 15th, Steve Baughman, went home to be with our Lord, Jesus. Steve was a champion of a life well lived. His wife loved him dearly, his children and all of their spouses and grandchildren adored him. He was greatly loved by our very large extended family and friends. Steve was a breath of fresh air to us all. He was a very kind, giving, and humble man, comfortable in his own skin. He wasn't one to toot his own horn, but rather chose to esteem others more highly than himself. His sense of humor and wit was over the top, never used at the expense of others, but rather to build up and release tension and help us laugh at ourselves. Steve was a Philippians 4:4-11 man who quietly lived that lifestyle as a golden rule. It was his way to encourage and make others feel significant. Steve loved sports, not watching them per say, but playing them wholeheartedly. He was often first on the court with the much younger adults, giving them a run for their money. Steve was a God-honoring, unselfish family man, always looking for ways to bring the good, lovely, honorable and positive out of every difficult and challenging situation. He was an overcomer, an example to us all. We will greatly miss Steve, but the legacy of his life well lived will go on for generations through those who knew and loved him. He left behind his lovely wife, Rita, their children, Brett, Amber and Chelsea, and their spouses Alison, Glenn, and Luke. Papah Steve had five beautiful grandchildren and has a new granddaughter due in a few weeks. I can picture our Lord, Jesus saying, 'Well done Steve! Enter into the joy of your Lord!' Steve ran the race hard and finished well!

  1. Rita This is Randy Gularte. Coach Barry Robertson, told me yesterday, that Steve, my good friend and tennis partner, passed away. Even though I have not spoken to Steve for years, he has always been in my heart. What great fun we had growing up in Monticello Park. Ed Dillon and now Steve, as my wife Crystal says, the good die young. God Bless you and your family. Randy Gularte

  2. Steve was the most giving, lighthearted, selfless and friendly person I have ever met. I will always remember him for these qualities. He was there for me during my tribulations. Truly a man of God.
