Walter Whitt

Walter Lindsey Whitt, formerly of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on March 18, 2011 at the age of 79 at his home in Murrieta, California. He was born in Pelzer, South Carolina, son of the late Ali Alvin Whitt and Lessie Smith Whitt Davis. He served 22 years in the military, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He retired from Michelin Tire Company of Sandy Springs, South Carolina in 1993 after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Mae Whitt of Murrieta, CA; son Aaron Whitt; daughter Vicky W. Wilson of Clinton, SC; a stepson Tim A Reagan of Murrieta, CA; brother Teddy J. Davis of Clinton, SC; sisters Brenda D. (Kitty) Pate and Linda D (Faye) Brewer, both of Clinton, SC; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at England Family Chapel on Monday, March 21, at 1:00pm. He will be buried at Riverside National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 9:30am.
